The folding manufacturing is one of the most simple processes. The metal is being folded to shape it into a required form.
Out of a single bar it is possible to carry out hooks, rings and chains.
A hammer and an anvil are enough to fold the iron however the blacksmiths usually use more numbers of the same instruments as well as the tools making the process more simple and adjust.
The traditional way to fold the metal is to place a piece of an incandescent metal on the anvil jutted out from one side and hammer it downwards after continuing to shape upwards the reverse curved side. Then some finishing can be carried out locating the material on the edges of the anvil.
